As part of the data collection process, parents/guardians are asked to provide input about their student’s gifted and/or advanced behaviors via an electronic survey called the Parent Input Form. The week of February 13, 2023, parents will receive a letter in the U.S. Mail and in ParentVUE with step-by-step directions for completing the form online. The form must be completed by March 17, 2023.
Please note that parents must use their student’s MCPS Google username and password when completing the form. If you have any questions or need support completing the form, please contact your elementary school GT Liaison or middle school AEIST. To address the needs of academically gifted and advanced students at the local school level, MCPS will expand the ELC to additional schools in 2022–2023. Based on multiple factors including: demographic, socioeconomic, and regional diversity, numbers of students surfaced in universal review, school readiness, and other conditions that lead to successful implementation, MCPS has selected 20 schools for ELC implementation in the 2022-23 school year. These schools represent a range of diversity in demographics, FARMS rates, school type, and regions. ELC expansion will continue in the 2023–2024 school year.
