Tobacco Cessation Program

Quit for Good logo

Quit for Good is a free, course-based tobacco cessation program offered to all MCPS employees, retirees, and their spouses regardless of medical plan membership. The program consists of once-a-week classes led by a nurse practitioner with assistance from Kaiser Permanente clinicians and health experts. Discussions focus on the skills necessary to successfully live tobacco-free. Learn more about the topics covered during classes.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the course has been revamped and now is offered as three, one-hour webinars. The webinars cover the skills necessary to successfully live tobacco-free, a risk assessment, stress management techniques, healthy weight management strategies, and more. In addition to the webinars, participants will receive support through a help line, peer sponsors who understand what it takes to quit, and other resources.
