Welcome Back!

Welcome to the 2023–2024 school year! On Monday, Aug. 28, MCPS will open its doors to nearly 162,000 students. For teachers, staff and administrators, this is a day we have been anticipating for months and preparing for all summer. MCPS Superintendent Dr. Monifa McKnight, Montgomery County Board of Education President Karla Silvestre and other staff welcome back students, families and staff as the district kicks off the new school year.
