Smithsonian Education to Host Free National Education Summit in July

Educators are invited to attend the free, three-day National Education Summit on July 18–20. Hosted by the Smithsonian, the event is an opportunity to explore critical issues facing teachers and network with others virtually and in person. The summit will focus on sustainability, STEAM education, the Smithsonian’s Reckoning with Our Racial Past initiative, and arts education.

The event will include a lineup of nationally recognized experts, including newly named National Teacher of the Year Rebecka Peterson, award-winning actor, author and anti-bullying activist Maulik Pancholy, Dr. Pamela Cantor and Smithsonian educators who are at the forefront of pedagogy and practice.

The event is open to teachers at all levels and in all subject areas, support specialists, media specialists, administrators and others.
