Report Cards for Elementary Schools

Starting Fall 2020, all report cards are being posted in ParentVUE. If parents have an active ParentVUE account, they will not receive a mailed copy. If they do not have an active account, they will receive a mailed copy. For information on ParentVue, please click HERE

MCPS revised its report card and grading scale in 2017-18 school year. The revisions are designed to more clearly convey student learning and provide additional information about learning skills or work habits. The change reflects input from parents, school staff and community.

With the return to in-person learning, MCPS teachers will use pacing guides that support instruction for grade level content standards and expectations. Teachers will incorporate missed content as necessary for current learning while continuing to focus on grade level standards. For questions on which topics are being taught in a specific marking period, please contact your teacher.

What's New?

  • A, B, C, D in Grades 2–5.
  • Kindergarten students will get a report card four times (instead of twice) per year.
  • Includes overall subject grade (in addition to the end-of-year average and measurement topics per marking period).
  • Includes reporting of key learning skills.
