The Department of Technology Integration and Support (DTIS) leads the selection, integration, training, and support of innovative technologies for our schools and offices to ensure operational excellence and staff productivity.
Technology Integration
What is our role?
To work closely with schools and offices in order to design and deliver high-quality professional development on the integration of technology into teaching, learning, and operations.
What does it look like?
- A team of Technology Implementation Specialists (TIS)
- Wide range of topics from classroom-based technologies to business and reporting systems
- Models vary from job-embedded coaching to formal whole group trainings to comprehensive credit-bearing courses
- Face-to-face, hybrid, and online opportunities that may be facilitated or self-paced
Technology Support
What is our role?
To provide daily technology support including operational and maintenance services, information, and assistance focused on customer productivity
What does it look like?
- First line of support for network, hardware, and software troubleshooting
- Responsible for supporting all elementary and middle schools as well as alternative education programs
- Scheduled and emergency technology assistance at the school level
Technology Modernization
What is our role?
To research, purchase, configure, and support instructional technologies for schools and offices.
What does it look like?
- Every 4 years* schools undergo a technology refresh to update hardware/software resources
- Schools make decisions on distribution of resources based on available allocations
