MCPS Mental Health Awareness Week October 10-15, 2022

MCPS and the Montgomery County School Psychologists’ Association (MCSPA) will host free virtual events the week of Oct. 10–15 to give youth and families the opportunity to hear from mental health experts on a variety of issues. The weeklong expo will feature daily themes, dynamic speakers and informational videos, as well as two live events: a Waymaking special on student mental health, and a resource fair and Q&A session. Student Service Learning (SSL) Information & Updates

All MCPS students must earn 75 SSL hours to graduate from high school. Middle school and high school students should continue earning SSL hours towards their SSL graduation requirement by engaging in SSL opportunities during the 2022-2023 school year. The Montgomery County Board of Education is seeking comments on proposed amendments to Board Policy ABA, Community Involvement, to update guidelines and practices for engagement related to Board decisions.
