Student Service Learning - Information and Opportunities

All MCPS students must earn 75 SSL hours to graduate from high school. Middle school and high school students should continue earning SSL hours towards their SSL graduation requirement by engaging in SSL opportunities during the summer and the 2023-2024 school year. Road Safety PSA Contest - 10 SSL Hour Opportunity

The Association for Safe International Road Travel (ASIRT) and the Montgomery County Regional Student Government Association (MCR-SGA) are hosting a Public Service Announcement (PSA) competition centered on road safety. Quality entries are eligible for SSL hours and potential prizes. Read here to learn more and submit an entry.

Summer RISE 2023 Comes to a Close

MCPS hosted their annual Summer RISE closing ceremony on July 28, 2023. Over 900 students participated in a 5 week program where they participated in career-based learning with businesses, government agencies, higher education institutions, and nonprofit organizations.
