The goal of the Career Pathways Ambassador Program is to bring awareness of career development services to MCPS support professionals and their supervisors and to provide more meaningful and timely access to information and resources related to career development at MCPS.
The Career Pathways Ambassador Program supports the Board of Education's Strategic Priority 4: Improve the recruitment, retention, and distribution of a high-quality diverse staff.
A Career Pathways Ambassador is an MCPS supporting services employee who is dedicated to expanding opportunities for all employees to learn about and access career development resources, professional development training, and more with student success in mind.
Ambassadors are excited to work for MCPS and find different ways to engage with employees at their work locations including but not limited to: creating a staff newsletter or bulletin board, holding information sessions, and having 1:1 conversations with staff about their career goals.
Each year, the Career Pathways Team recruits new Ambassadors for the following school year. News about information sessions, how to apply, and more will be listed on the Career Pathways Webpage and here when applications are being accepted.
