Lynnbrook Center, built in the early 40’s, is a closed school that currently holds MCPS program offices – (Physical Disabilities Program; School Psychologists, and a Private Daycare Provider)
The property is 4.21 acres with a 35,000 square foot existing building
The adjoining property is owned by Montgomery Parks
Identified as a site with minimal stormwater management, the Lynbrook site was considered by the Purple Line as one of many off-site stormwater management locations
Use of the site for Purple Line purposes did not continue, however it was acknowledged that work was required due to run-off issues
As a strategy to achieve stormwater management goals for the BCC HS project, Lynbrook was reviewed by the project civil engineers
