During distance learning, ESOL teachers are providing support through:

  • English Language Development (ELD) lessons in math and reading - all ESOL students should watch the ELD lessons in math and reading and complete any related assignments.


  • Co-planning weekly lessons with homeroom teachers


  • Creating synchronous or asynchronous learning opportunities including but not limited to:


    • Co-teaching during some homeroom teacher live debrief Zoom sessions


    • Recording videos to support student learning


    • Scheduling small group ESOL class Zoom sessions


    • Creating supplementary content on sites like Nearpod or Seesaw


  • Availability to help during office hours
