    7th & 8th Grades Odessa Shannon 2022-2023 Athletics Information

    Please review the slides to inform you about middle school athletics and the registration process.  All students interested in playing a sport must have their "Student Athletic Packet" turned in and cleared by Mr. Gibbons before they can tryout/participate.  Please reach out to Mr. Gibbons with questions or concerns at Barry_Gibbons@mcpsmd.org

    7th & 8th Grade Basketball Tryouts

    Students in 7th & 8th grade can register for boys and girls basketball tryouts at Odessa Shannon. If you click here you will gain access to slides about athletic sports offered, tryout dates, game schedules, and athletic requirements in order to try out for athletic teams. Athletics are not offered to 6th-grade students in MCPS.  Please have your child see Mr. Gibbons, Athletic Director, for Athletic Packet in order to try out.  Tryouts are on December 6th and 8th from 3:30-4:30. Parents can pick-up at 4:30 out front of school or your child can take the after school activity bus.  Please reach out to Mr. Gibbons if you need further assistance at Barry_Gibbons@mcpsmd.org

    RPruebas de baloncesto de 7.º y 8.º grado

    Los estudiantes de 7.º y 8.º grado pueden inscribirse para baloncesto masculino y femenino en Odessa Shannon. Si hace clic aquí, obtendrá acceso a las diapositivas sobre los deportes atléticos que se ofrecen, las fechas de las pruebas, los horarios de los juegos y los requisitos atléticos para participar en los equipos atléticos. Los deportes no se ofrecen a los estudiantes de sexto grado en MCPS. Por favor, pídale a su hijo que vea al Sr. Gibbons, Director Atlético, para el Paquete Atlético para poder probar. Las pruebas son el 6 y 8 de diciembre de 3:30 a 4:30. Los padres pueden recoger a las 4:30 en el frente de la escuela o su hijo puede tomar el autobús de actividades después de la escuela.
