Music
Mrs. Wardell
This is my 10th year teaching music at Sequoyah and my 14th year teaching music in MCPS. Before I came to Sequoyah, I taught chorus at Lakelands Park Middle School and Springbrook High School. I grew up in southern New Jersey and moved to Maryland to study music education and voice at the University of Maryland. (Go Terps!) While there, I had a chance to perform at the Kennedy Center with the UMD Concert Choir. In 2013, I earned my Masters’ Degree in Kodaly Music Education from Loyola University in Maryland. Outside of school I enjoy attending concerts, going to the beach, shopping, and working with young singers as the director of the MCPS Northwest County Elementary Honors Chorus. I am also a fan of coffee, Sharpies, and all things purple. I live in Frederick, MD with my husband, our two little boys Robert and Ben, and race cars of various sizes.
