Sequoyah ES - Academic Support
Ms. Lee- I was born and raised in Baltimore to the most wonderful parents in the world. I am the youngest of three children. I received my BS from the University of Maryland in elementary education. I went on to grad school at Johns Hopkins University and received an MS in School Administration and Supervision. I have been married for 19 years and have twin sixteen year old boys named Connor and Tyson. I enjoy playing various sports, watching my sons play on their sports teams, running, and reading. As the academic support teacher here at Sequoyah, my goal is to instill positive study skills such as working hard and trying one’s best, and the academic skills to develop a life-long love for reading and writing.
Mrs. Larkin- My name is Katie Larkin. I use to teach at Sequoyah…Can you believe I taught kindergarten almost 20 years ago! I recently had been teaching at Poolesville Elementary. It feels like I am coming back home! I have a degree in elementary and my masters in special education. When I am not teaching, I am having fun just being with my family (Tim, Carly, Justin and Hannah.) In my spare time I enjoy, cooking, reading, and playing with my two dogs (Chase and Maisy.) My favorite place to relax and soak up the sun is Bethany Beach! I am excited to be here in such a great school with a gifted staff, dedicated parents, and of course the best students in MCPS!!
