Grade 1
Mrs. Rodriguez - I grew up in Montgomery County and graduated from Damascus High School. Afterwards, I received my degree in Elementary Education from Salisbury University. This is my eighth year teaching first grade, and my sixth year at Sequoyah. I love reading, visiting the beach, and spending time with my family and friends.
Ms. Shuman- Hello! This is my fourth year teaching at Sequoyah. I went to St. Mary’s College of Maryland and earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Then I went on to receive my Master’s Degree from the University of Maryland in Curriculum and Instruction. I love to read, play with my dog, and visit the beach. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year!
Ms. Stopak- I graduated from the University of Maryland in 1986, and attained a degree in Elementary Education with certification in grades K-8. I have a Master's Degree in Administration and Supervision from Bowie State University. I am blessed to devote my time to my three children while exploring the beach or just spending time together as a family. I truly enjoy a nice long run and reading a good book!
