Saturday School for Rosemont ES Students
The George B. Thomas Sr. Learning Academy, Inc. Saturday School program continues to provide mentoring and tutoring for MCPS students in Pre-K – 12th grade. Each Saturday, transportation is provided at each center and breakfast is served. We begin the day with a motivational session from 8:30am – 9:00am to focus on wellness and building confident learners. At 9:00am, students move to grade level classrooms for tutoring and additional mentoring. Most students participate in 50 minutes of math support and 50 minutes of English support. Of course, this can be altered based upon the individual needs of the student.
Our elementary school students utilize MCPS aligned curriculum with Benchmark and Eureka math. For those students looking for acceleration, we introduce grade level appropriate extension activities to broaden learning experiences.
We remain open for registration at Clarksburg, Einstein, Gaithersburg, Montgomery Blair, Northwest, Paint Branch, Springbrook, Wheaton with a virtual option as well. Saturday School costs $40 (FARMS)/$85 for the entire year of services. We have nine Saturday School sessions remaining from February 11th through April 29th.
