Cafeteria News

Meal prices: Breakfast—$1.30; Lunch—$2.55 (Elementary), $2.80 (Middle and High). Beginning this year, students in Maryland who qualify for reduced-price meals will not be charged for breakfast or lunch meals!  Apply Online Now at Myschoolapps.com.  Please visit the Division of Food and Nutrition Services for income guidelines and complete information. 

To add lunch money to your child's account, go to Myschoolbucks.comTo pay by check, send it in a marked envelope (CAFETERIA) with a student's name in the memo section. 

Parent Portal             

Activate your ParentVUE account by downloading ParentVUE app on your phone.  It is the primary home-to-school communication tool for schools to share information regarding grades, attendance, scheduling, log into myMCPS classroom (for a required Volunteer Training), and more.

To report an absence, please call the school at 240-740-5180 then follow up with a written excuse letter upon returning to school, or email our attendance secretary,  Mrs. Lisa E. Acosta at Lisa_E_Acosta@mcpsmd.org.

Volunteering

Our school welcomes volunteers to support the essential needs of the schools. Volunteers and partnership agencies are required to complete specific compliance measures to volunteer or accompany children on field trips.  Please complete both Rockwell's Onsite Volunteer Training Slide Deck as well as the Child Abuse and Neglect training.

A ParentVUE account is needed to access and complete the training.  If you already have activated your account, follow the steps below:

  1. Login to ParentVUE
  2. Go to the “Parent Resources” tab
  3. Navigate to “myMCPS Classroom”
  4. Click on the “Resources” folder
  5. Click the link for “Volunteer Training”
  6. Enroll, go to, and complete the training course

Weekend Food Bags     

Rockwell ES is partnered with Distributors for Children in Need (KIND) which is a non-profit program in Bethesda, MD.  The program is to support students with nutritious meals and snacks for the weekend.  If you are interested in receiving this program, please complete this KIND Registration FORM.  Your student will bring home a bag of food on Fridays.
