    Mission

    The Social Studies Department seeks to instill in each student:

    1. A solid core of knowledge related to each subject studied under the various subjects which comprise the Social Studies.
    2. An awareness of and appreciation for the multicultural diversity of our increasingly global world.
    3. A set of skills which will enable students to navigate through and apply knowledge in a broad range of situations beyond the classroom.
    4. A love of learning that will translate into a life-long pursuit of intellectual growth.
