2023 Middle School Fall Sports Registration

Registration for middle school fall sports will open through ParentVUE on August 14, 2023, at noon. Tryouts and practices for middle schools start on September 12, 2023. Details regarding tryout/practice will be available in early September. Systemwide resources are available on the MCPS Athletics webpage. All students must have an up to date athletics physical, which is good for two years, uploaded into ParentVue or submitted to the Athletic Coordinator, Mr. Daniel Ottalini. Students who participated in sports last year for Redland MS should already have a physical on file, but must register again for our sports. Fall Sports in Middle School are Boys and Girls Softball, and Co-Ed Cross Country. Please remember that only 7th and 8th grade students may participate or try out for sports. All forms must be completed prior to the start of tryouts. For more information on Middle School Athletics, please check the county website, or email Mr. Ottalini or Mrs. Kniss with any questions. 

Athletics Registration Link and Dates

Registration for middle school athletics will be conducted through the ParentVUE Portal. The ParentVUE online registration portal, available in English and Spanish, incorporates all required paper forms and documents into an internet-based platform that can be accessed using a secure ParentVUE Portal login. Parents/guardians are also able to scan and upload their student's physical, as part of the registration process.

• Fall registration for coed cross country or boys' and girls' softball opens August 14, 2023, at 12:00 noon.
• Winter registration for boys' or girls' basketball opens October 30, 2023, at 12:00 noon
• Spring registration for boys' or girls' soccer opens January 29, 2024, at 12:00 noon
