Athletic Event Info

Fall Sport Contests will be starting soon, make sure that you're ready for the games by purchasing your Season Pass - available for Fall, Winter, Spring, and All Year options.  It is a great value to allow you to cheer on all our teams!  Not sure you're going to be going to a lot of games, ALL single game tickets are also on GoFan.  There are no cash purchases at the gate for events, tickets must be purchased online.

Cougar Cubs - 2023-2024 School Year

The Cougar Cubs Preschool is accepting applications for next school year - 2023 - 2024!  Preschool runs Monday through Thursday 7:50 AM - 11:00 AM, your child must be 4 years to enroll Tuition is only $300/semester. Parking Permit Information

Students, upon satisfying the parking permit criteria, may submit this Google form to apply for a permitApplications will be accepted from Monday, August 7th to Wednesday, September 6th. We will send an email to your mcpsmd.net email account letting you know the status of your application by Wednesday, September 14th. If you receive a permit, you will have to pay $39.00 for your spot on SCO. The link to pay for your permit on OSP will be included in that email. To get your permit tag, you will bring proof of payment with you to Mr. Rabberman's Office (Room 255) during lunch from Wednesday, September 13th through Tuesday, September 19th.

SSL Opportunities

All MCPS students must earn 75 SSL hours to graduate from high school. Summer break is a great time for middle and high school students to earn SSL hours! Health Education Requirement Change

The Maryland State Board of Education recently changed its graduation requirement for health education. Students in the Class of 2025 and beyond must now earn one full credit for graduation; previously, they earned one half-credit. Again, this requirement begins with the Class of 2025. The change does not impact students in the Class of 2023 or 2024. Details can be found on the QO Health Education page.

FREE English Language Learner Classes for MCPS Parents

In collaboration with MCPS, the Literacy Council of Montgomery County (LCMC) is offering free English language learner classes for MCPS parents. The classes will be held virtually and in person, and there will be options for all levels of English speakers. They are available to any MCPS parent for whom English is not their first language. Parents can complete this interest form to receive a placement test: https://mcpsweb.wufoo.com/forms/english-classes-for-mcps-parents/ This form is available in multiple languages. Restorative Justice

You may have heard the term “Restorative Justice” or RJ. RJ is about managing relationships, communication, collaboration, conflict resolution, and community building. At Quince Orchard, we will be engaging students, staff, and parents in our efforts to build a stronger community to support our students in achieving excellence.
