In addition to that team of four, Pyle had two more individuals who scored high enough to also advance to the State competition. Congratulations to 7th grader Arjun Tumbapura and to 6th grader William Cheung! All 6 are headed to the Maryland State competition on March 15th.
On Saturday, March 1st, our scholars won 2nd place in the 1st Annual Black History Bowl! Our students did well with their knowledge of African American Heritage, had so much poise and confidence, and represented the Pyle family so well. Captain Isla Takem, along with fellow 8th graders Ibrahima Diatta and Quinn Urey, showed out and really shined while competing against 7 other MCPS Middle Schools in the event cosponsored by Omega Psi Phi Fraternity (Mu Nu Chapter) and Montgomery County Public Libraries. Congratulations!
