Welcome to the Magruder High School Booster Club website.
Here you will find useful information about who we are, important events, how to join or volunteer, and much more.
We hope that you will consider joining or volunteering because YOU play a large part in the success of the booster club. The Booster Club relies on fundraising through memberships, concessions, and the sale of Magruder “Spirit Wear” and other fund raisers to support our activities. The funds that we collect are used to support all of the boys and girls athletic teams with facilities improvements, equipment and athletic apparel. The bottom line is that the annual Athletic Budget is not sufficient enough to maintain the condition of our facilities and supply our athletic teams with the equipment and apparel they need to compete.
Our volunteer organization is dedicated to raising funds in support of all of our student athletes. Please visit our membership page to become a member. You can pay online via PayPal, print and mail your application and check to us, or drop it off at our table during “back to school” night, or at the concession stand during home athletic events.
Get involved! Become a member, buy and wear spirit wear, volunteer in the concession stand, or just attend an athletic event and cheer on our students!
Thank you for your support of Magruder Athletics! GO COLONELS!!!
MCPS is implementing a new policy that will apply to parents who volunteer regularly and that drive other students to sporting events.
All volunteers who regularly support schools and school sponsored activities must complete the MCPS online Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect: For Volunteers and Contractors. This training requirement also applies to student teachers and interns; volunteers who regularly help with school dismissal or recess; and those who attend field trips and chaperone outdoor education. The online training is provided in English, Spanish, Chinese, French, Korean, Amharic, and Vietnamese.
This is an on-line training that will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Print your certificate and provide a copy to the Athletic Director. Below is a link for more information and the on-line training site.
