Administration
Mr. Evan H. Bernstein, Principal
I am proud to serve the staff, students and community as the Principal of Little Bennett Elementary School. Home of the Eagles!
I began my career in education and with the Montgomery County Public Schools as a teacher at Highland Elementary School in Wheaton in 1992. I began my career in school administration as an assistant principal at Rolling Terrace Elementary School in Silver Spring in 2009 and Flora M. Singer Elementary in 2012. In August of 2014, I was named the acting Principal at Forest Knolls Elementary School and I was officially appointed as their Principal in March of 2015 where I worked for eight school years. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood/elementary education from Frostburg State University and completed my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Loyola College.
I am a loyal local sports fan with the Washington Commanders, Baltimore Orioles and Washington Capitals. I also love going to the movies and spending time with family.
I am a big believer in Relationships Matter so I can be reached at (240)740-5660. In addition, I am available through email at Evan_H_Bernstein@mcpsmd.org
Mrs. Erin Schultze, Assistant Principal
I am honored and excited to join the Little Bennett community as Assistant Principal for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. I am looking forward to a fantastic year of learning and growth with our students, staff, and families.
I was born and raised in Montgomery County, MD and attended MCPS’ amazing schools throughout my K-12 education career. I currently reside in Damascus, MD with my husband, three children, and two rambunctious dogs. As a child, I enjoyed school because I had teachers that made learning fun and exciting. I hope to continue to promote an environment where all students are excited to learn and have a safe place to do so.
Prior to joining the Little Bennett community, I spent my time at Goshen Elementary School, Gaithersburg Middle School, and Watkins Mill High School as a Special Education teacher. Most recently, I was the Assistant Principal at Rock View Elementary School. My experiences as a teacher, team leader, and Restorative Justice coach, and Assistant Principal have given me the experience to support students while collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure that all students have an equitable learning opportunity.
I am excited to begin my journey at Little Bennett and work with our students, staff, families, and community to ensure the success of all of our students. I look forward to meeting and getting to know everyone! Please feel free to reach out to me by phone at (240) 740-5660 or via email at Erin_Schultze@mcpsmd.org.
