About Our Fourth Grade Teachers
Ms. Kristi Carranza Hi! I’m Mrs. Carranza, and I am so happy to be a part of the Great Seneca Creek family! I have been teaching for 20 years. I grew up in Pennsylvania, and moved to Maryland after graduating with a degree in Elementary Education and Spanish. I enjoy traveling, trying new foods, and going to the beach. I live in Clarksburg with my husband, 11 year old son Alex, and 8 year old son Leo. I love teaching reading because it was my 5th grade reading teacher who cared and challenged me to be the best student I could be, and inspired me to become a teacher. |
Mrs. Germaine Cooley I am entering my 21st year of teaching and have been lucky to be at Great Seneca Creek since it opened. In the past I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 4th grade. When I am not at school I am spending time with my husband Ryan, my son Padraig, my daughter Brighid, and of course our dog Astro. As a family we can be found on the baseball field cheering on my Padraig and his teammates, on the football field watching my daughter cheer, or camping and hiking at different parks in Frederick County. I am so excited for this school year to begin!!!! |
Ms. Adria Johnson I am SO excited to join the GSCES staff! My name is Adria Johnson and this is my 15th year teaching in MCPS. I live in Damascus with my husband, Tommy, our two sons, Roman and Rex, and our two pups, Kooper and Teddy. My favorite activities are singing, dancing, voice acting, exercising, drawing, painting and attending stand-up comedy shows. My personal motto is "ALWAYS get your hopes up" and I am looking forward to a wonderful year! |
Mr. Jake Obendorfer HEY! My name is Mr. O. This is my 10th year teaching at “The Creek” and I love it! I am so excited about teaching fourth grade for the fourth year. I grew up in Germantown and went to MCPS schools. I received my Bachelors degree in Elem. Ed. from Towson University and my Masters in Math K-6 from Walden University. I got married to my wife Poppy in 2014. I have a daughter, Jolene, who turned seven in May and is starting second grade this year and a son, Jude, who will turn four in December. I cannot wait to work with you throughout the year and help you learn and grow. We will tackle this year with enthusiasm and energy. Let’s get to learning and having fun while doing it!. Go Niners! |
