Leadership, Service, and Extracurricular Activities
MCPS students can engage and access several different experiences through leadership, service and extracurricular activities. Students are encouraged to participate at the school level which are often student led. New content and information will be updated throughout the course of the school year. Forest Oak offers many oppurtunities such as SGA, NJHS, GMFO, and Book Wars.
Interscholastic Sports
Middle school interscholastic sports teams are open to 7th and 8th grades boys and girls. Softball (boys & girls) and cross country (coed) take place in the fall; basketball (boys & girls) takes places in the winter; and soccer (boys & girls) takes place in the spring.
Students must register for sports on ParentVUE. Registration is done by season. See the ParentVue Support Guide (SPANISH) for help.
Students must have an up-to-date physical on file. Once a physician has completed the Pre-Participation Form, you may upload it to ParentVUE or email it to Mr. Anthony Gomez -- Anthony_Gomez@mcpsmd.org
