Weekly Update
Good evening, Farmland Families, A REMINDER that this Monday and Tuesday are early release days, with Tuesday being the last day of the school year. As this is the last week of school, this will be the last Farmland Update until the second week of August. I will reach out during the summer if needed to communicate with the community. I would like to take a moment to express my thanks to Mrs. Tracy Miller, our PTA President, for her incredible dedication and leadership. Tracy has been a tremendous partner and a strong liaison between Farmland families and the school. She is an excellent listener, thoughtful, understanding, and always willing to ask questions and offer feedback that help move Farmland forward. Tracy leads with integrity, maintains trust and discretion in every interaction, and always puts all students first. Her commitment to our school community has made a lasting impact, and I am truly grateful for the strong and successful partnership we've built. As Tracy steps down from her position, I want to recognize the countless ways she has supported Farmland's students, families, and staff. Thank you, Tracy, for your time, care, and unwavering dedication. You have been amazing, and you will be greatly missed! We truly appreciate everyone who helped make the class parties so special for our students! It was wonderful to see all the smiles and laughter during the class parties. The fun outdoor games and prizes would not have happened if it were not for Mrs. Becky Franks, who planned and coordinated everything for all 870 students on a $100 budget! We are so grateful to Becky and the parent volunteers who helped bring joy to the final days of school. We also want to recognize Ms. Taylor for organizing a fantastic Peer Buddy event with students from Farmland, Tilden, and Walter Johnson. Farmland's 4th and 5th grade Peer Buddy students, who have been supporting classmates in our Learning for Independence program throughout the year, did a wonderful job helping out during the event. Many of the visiting students were former Farmland friends, making it a true community celebration. Everyone enjoyed crafts, time on our new playground, and inflatables, thanks to Kids After Hours for providing these activities! Finally, thank you to the staff and families who made our 5th Grade Promotion so memorable. While we'll miss our fifth graders greatly, we are excited for the bright journey ahead and wish them all the best. For families who are moving on from Farmland, thank you for being part of our community. We wish you continued success and happiness! Thank you again for a wonderful year! Final Communication and Class Assignments for Next Year As a reminder, this is the final email for the 2024-2025 school year. Communications will resume in the second week of August. Final class lists will be posted on August 20 via ParentVue. Please note that class assignments may change throughout the summer due to enrollment fluctuations and teachers who have taken other assignments. Farmland has collected family feedback throughout the survey, which was previously filled out. We have used this when creating class assignments. We kindly ask that you refrain from sending emails to us requesting specific teachers or asking for class changes, as final assignments will not be altered based on these requests. 2025-2026 School Supply List Please click here to access the school supply list for next year. It will be posted on the website, too. Farmland Survey: Share Your Experience! We truly value our partnership with families and believe your feedback is vital in helping us create the best possible learning environment for all students. So far, 77 individuals have completed the survey, but we need your help to increase that number! The District has extended the survey window through this Wednesday, June 16, 2025, so there's still time to share your voice. Your responses are confidential and will help guide improvements to our programs, services, and student support. We appreciate your continued partnership.
