Candlewood is committed to being a safe, caring and inclusive community that fosters respect for diversity, and values the social emotional and academic development of each student. 

Mission

We will provide students with a variety of opportunities and experiences to develop academic, social and emotional skills. We will maintain a safe environment that promotes engagement, curiosity and collaboration. We will teach and model respect for ourselves, others and our community, in order for our students to have a positive impact in the world.

Apply for free and reduced meals

MCPS will resume regular meal services during the 2022–2023 school year. Meal prices: Breakfast—$1.30; Lunch—$2.55 (Elementary), $2.80 (Middle and High) Beginning this year, students in Maryland who qualify for reduced-price meals will not be charged for breakfast or lunch meals!  Click here for information about the application process.

MCPS Passwords

Please do not change your Central Office assigned MCPS passwords. It is very important that students keep the passwords assigned to them. MCPS uses grade level-specific password requirements that allow us to ensure a balance of security and appropriate accessibility for a student’s age. For more information, click the link above.
