Good evening, Burtonsville families!

This Week at BES:

  • 6/12: 5th Grade Promotion Ceremony
  • 6/16: Last day of school - Early Release 

School & Community News…

⭐Friday, June 16, 2023, is the last day of school and is an early release day.  Students will be dismissed at 1:20 pm.  Please be sure your children know how they are going home especially if it is different from usual.  We hope everyone has a great summer break…See you in August!

⭐ The Local Summer Program at Burtonsville is FULL.  Only a limited number of students were invited this year.  If you accepted our invitation and received confirmation, we will see your child(ren) on Monday, July 10, 2023.  Thank you. 

⭐Lost & Found - This is the last chance to claim missing shirts, hoodies, jackets, hats, lunchboxes, water bottles, eyeglasses, etc.  All unclaimed items will be donated to a local charity on June 20th.  Parents and guardians visiting the school this week are encouraged to stop by and take a look at what your child(ren) may be missing.

HUGE thank you to all the families for participating in our Beautification Day.  A special thanks to Tom Smith for leading our pond effort!  We had an amazing time and hope you did too.

County News…

The George B. Thomas Learning Academy - Paint Branch Saturday program will continue for the four Saturdays in the month of June in a virtual format!  The virtual program at Paint Branch is named The FuturisticsEnrollment for all students for the month of June is FREE for grades K through HS and SAT Prep.  If you are interested in having your child(ren) participate, please enroll them using this enrollment form.
