Common Sense Media… is a great resource for families that helps parents and caregivers navigate the digital world.  It has tips and resources for all ages.  One of the resources they have is a text message program where you can receive free text message tips about how to practice healthy media habits at home with your family.  Click  https://www.commonsensemedia.org/ | https://www.commonsensemedia.org/text for more information. 

⭐Lost & Found - Please remind your child(ren) to stop by and look for their missing items in the lost and found. The number of items continues to increase and includes, shirts, hoodies, jackets, hats, lunchboxes, water bottles, eyeglasses, etc.  All unclaimed items will be donated to a local charity on June 20th.

⭐Family Market - Bring your shopping bags and join us for the final family market this school year, Tuesday, June 6 beginning at 5:30 pm (apples, broccoli, red cabbage, cantaloupe, cherry tomatoes, mangoes, oranges, peaches, green peppers, spinach, peanut butter, pinto beans, canned corn, shelf-stable milk, elbow macaroni.) All BES families are welcome.


A Message from our PTA… 

Volunteers wanted for Beautification Day on June 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We will be working on the garden beds, the pond in the courtyard, and picking up trash around the school.


County News…

The George B. Thomas Learning Academy - Paint Branch Saturday program will continue for the four Saturdays in the month of June in a virtual format!  The virtual program at Paint Branch is named The FuturisticsEnrollment for all students for the month of June is FREE for grades K through HS and SAT Prep.  If you are interested in having your child(ren) participate, please enroll them using this enrollment form.

Literacy Council Offers Free ESL Classes For MCPS Parents: In collaboration with MCPS, the Literacy Council of Montgomery County (LCMC) is offering free English as a Second Language classes for MCPS parents. The classes will be held virtually and in person, and there are options for all levels of English speakers. They are available to any MCPS parent for whom English is not their first language.
